Het vermelden waard is het feit dat volgens hen augustus en september werden beschouwd als de beste operationele maanden, terwijl de belangstelling voor juni en juli sterk daalde.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Considering that last year was the worst year in a long time in tourism, the second consecutive year of tourism during pandemics \u2013 the 2021 \u2013 has started to bloom. However, the tourism business and the visitors have not so far coped with the new circumstances. The anxiety and the<br> reluctance at the beginning of the season followed by air-travel restrictions, which came into play during mid-year, severely affected the business. All of the aforementioned resulted in the postponed opening of the season from July and August. Worth mentioning is the fact that there was a significant increase in the number of clients during September.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cNet als vorig jaar werd juni 2021 beschouwd als een jaar van strijd om te overleven. We hadden wel hoop op het beste, maar er was een gebrek aan ambitie. In juli werd de vaccintoediening ge\u00efntroduceerd en de zaken begonnen richting normaliteit te gaan \u2013 de vraag naar toeristen nam toe.\u201d, zegt de heer Nol Krasniqi, hoofd operaties van Balkan Natural Adventure.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>De vraag naar \u201cad-hocboekingen\u201d. <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWe zaten midden in het seizoen 2021 en we werden door de toeristen gecontacteerd voor snelle aanbiedingen om aan hun reiswensen te voldoen. We waren eraan gewend om ruim van tevoren gecontacteerd te worden en te boeken, maar nu merkten we dat we ad hoc boekten, wat volgens mij redelijk goed is gelukt.\u201d, voegt hij eraan toe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">De heer Zeki Ahmetxhekaj, de eigenaar van het pension \u201cLojza\u201d in Zllanopoj\u00eb, is het eens met het bovenstaande en merkt bovendien op dat \u201cjuni ook veel werd geannuleerd vanwege de sneeuwomstandigheden. Mijn bedrijf presteerde halverwege in vergelijking met het seizoen 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"translation-block\">Apart from the presence of the clients on the <a href=\"https:\/\/bnadventure.com\/peaks-of-the-balkans-trail\/\" target=\"_self\">PoB trail<\/a>, issues of concern to pandemic were the reconditioning of the guesthouses and training of guides. The three neighboring countries, in their fight with the pandemic, strove, ensured, and administered vaccines by giving priority to the hospitality sector. They also implemented the <a href=\"https:\/\/wttc.org\/COVID-19\/SafeTravels-Global-Protocols-Stamp\" target=\"_self\">Safe Travel<\/a> measures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Naast de gidsen van de PoB-route heeft een groot aantal accommodaties gehoor gegeven aan de vaccinatieoproep en het personeel laten vaccineren.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>De rol van de politie bij vaccinatie<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" class=\"translation-block\">Bearing in mind the length of the trail, vaccination passports became mandatory due to the fact that people had to obtain border permits in some of the countries that had obliged issuance of the border crossing permits with the immunization passport. No border passing denial nor any incidents were recorded of the individuals who possessed the immunization passport, though. Worth mentioning is the fact that the police and other relevant border crossing officials didn\u2019t significantly intensify paper-checking for immunization of individuals. With the smooth administrative flow and the demand increase of the travelers, as of July, the business in the PoB trail was rejuvenated. \u201cNine out of ten of my clients had two vaccine shots\u201d proudly comments<br> Mr. Ahmetxhekaj, envisaging that the precaution of the individuals taken was at a high level. \u201cI believe that the increase of the number of people sleeping in tents is a result of COVID-19\u201d, he analytically adds in.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Denkend aan 2022 <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">De indicatoren die de algemene schattingen van deskundigen en de feedback van de lokale bevolking weerspiegelen, laten zien dat het volgende jaar wellicht nog welvarender zal zijn. Niet weinig experts schatten dat het volgende jaar zal wedijveren met het seizoen 2019. Aan de andere kant zijn er nog een paar die nogal sceptisch zijn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">De heer Ahmetxhekaj heeft hoge verwachtingen van het PoB-seizoen 2022, met als doel een vergelijkbaar niveau als het seizoen 2019 te bereiken; in het slechtste geval een beter seizoen dan het seizoen 2021. Zijn collega van het Balkan Natural Adventure, de heer Krasniqi, deelt hierover echter een ander standpunt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u201cWe kunnen er zeker van zijn dat het volgende seizoen beter zal zijn dan dit en bovendien zelfs beter dan dat van 2019.
