Het dorp van Theth<\/a> is een van de meest pittoreske plekken in Noord-Albani\u00eb en het is een beschermd historisch centrum door de Albanese regering. Het staat bekend als een gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid en vanwege zijn hartelijke gastvrijheid.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Het dorp wordt volledig bewoond door de Albanese rooms-katholieke gemeenschap en heeft de meest unieke structuur ter wereld. Kulla e Ngujimit of Tower Refuge is een rotsgebouw van drie verdiepingen zonder ramen. Het diende als een zelfopgelegde ballingschap voor mensen die betrokken waren bij bloedwraak.
Een bezoek aan Theth in het begin van de 20e eeuw, de reiziger Edith Durham<\/a> zei:
\u201cI think no place where human beings live have given me such an impression of majestic isolation from all the world\u201d
However, the community in Theth has a nine-grade school and recent efforts have been made to stimulate tourism. A number of local families offer board and lodging to visitors who come to Theth to hike in the National Park \u2013 or merely to admire the mountain scenery.
Apart from the Tower Refuge, other attractions include spectacular waterfalls, breathtaking mountain sceneries, old Roman Catholic Church and a modest ethnographic museum.<\/p>\n

Theth, Pieken van de Balkan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n


Van de vele toeristische attracties is een van de meest populaire het 2,9 km lange wandelpad van Theth naar de nabijgelegen Grunas-watervallen over de rivier.
Het pad volgt de rivier en gaat oostwaarts richting het dorp Nderlysa en na ongeveer. 3 km aan de linkerkant van het pad is er een kort klimgedeelte dat naar een prachtige natuurlijke Grunas-waterval leidt. De Grunas-waterval is 25 meter lang en ontspringt uit het westelijke deel van de Boshi-piek in de Albanese Alpen, en is samen met zijn omgeving een van de zeldzame verschijnselen van de Albanese Alpen en daarom een \u200b\u200bbelangrijk toeristisch punt en natuurmonument.
From the waterfall the path continues straight alongside of it and descends on the Right towards Nderlysa village. After 15 min of a downhill section the trail meets other trails in a flat section where it turns sharp Left and follows the river Thethi all the way down to Nderlysa, approx. 4km.
Nderlysa is a very small village and still in its original state as it was in the past. In this characteristic village are some small restaurants where you can eat lunch or sandwich and relax and enjoy the view and during the summer time it is possible to take a nice swim in the glacial turquoise blue water stream. Nderlysa is also known for its natural stone tubs created from the glacial water stream. The stone baths in Nderlysa are rock formations created by the abundant inflows of black river water that descend from the village of Kaprre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
