6 Days Self-Guided Peaks of the Balkans
The Peaks of the Balkans is one of Europe’s most spectacular long-distance hiking routes, crossing the wild Accursed Mountains through Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo.
This 6-day self-guided trekking itinerary is designed for hikers who want to experience the most beautiful sections of the route in a shorter, more accessible format, while still enjoying its raw, untouched alpine scenery.
The journey focuses on the most iconic sections between Albania and Montenegro, including legendary mountain destinations such as Theth, Valbona, Cerem, Doberdol, and Vusanje. Kosovo is not included in this version, allowing for a smoother logistics experience and more focused hiking days.
Everything is fully organized in advance — including accommodation, transfers, border permits, and GPS navigation — so you can focus entirely on the hiking experience.
We offer two different itinerary versions, both designed to deliver the same high-quality trekking experience, but exploring different parts of the mountains depending on your preference and hiking style.
